The Flamenco Noir 1999-show, Luz y Sombra, intents to approach some of the many contrasts in flamenco – the profound Cante Jondo singing, the joy-explosion of the dance, the lyrical and expressive sounds of the guitars.
The main contrast of the performance is the 'pain-joy' visualised in a multifarious expressions and combinations of dance, singing and guitarmusic. The program consist in traditional flamenco and compositions by singer Rogelio de Badajoz and by Jens Viggo Fjord.
Soloist was the dancer Lis Rasmussen from Stockholm. Marius Rasmussen played percussion and Christian Droulon guitar.
