Also on 14/4 in Jorlunde Kirke, and 15/4 in club Gyngen, in Aarhus New flamenco-CD from Jens Viggo Fjord recorded in Denmark with his usual collegues - Christian Droulon-guitar, Claus Naur-bass and Stephan Jarl-perc. - and in Seville together with some marvellous 'flamencos': singers Inma Rivero, Enrique de Morón and Olayo Jimenez, Joselito Fernández, el Ratita and Juan Cantarote on percussion and palmas, Jasio Velasques on viola, Marquesita-steps and others. The cd contains 8 compositions by JVF, among them "la Palmera" which has been nominated for "Track of the Year" by the danish worldmusic asociation, World Music Denmark. Release 1. of december 2009. More info in menu under "Book ..." and on www.guf.biz Requiem Flamenco concerts the 8 and 10 of november 2009 in Aarhus, special participation by Jerez-singer, Juan Cantarote JVF is heading Brazil to play 4 concerts in Rio and São Paulo together with three outstanding Rio de Janeiro-musicians: guitarist (7-strings), Rogério Souza, bandolim-player Tiago Souza and João Hermeto on percussion. Rogério Souza has worked together with famous artists as Baden Powell, Paulinho da Viola and Ney Matogrosso. His soloalbum "Violão Brasileiro" (Niterói Discos, 2008) has been very acclaimed. Jens Viggo Fjord plays the 22/4/08 at 7 pm in the beautiful old countyard of the Danish Institute in Damascus, Syria. During the concert JVF will tell about his research concerning the relations between arab music and flamenco. More listening examples under "discography". |
